Label Name as Artist

In some cases on DSP’s you may see a label adding their name as an artist to a release. This then sets the label up as an artist on stores.

Whilst at the moment this doesn’t appear to go directly against best practices on stores, it’s very much a grey area and subject to change

For this reason it is not something that we widely support and have therefore set up the following criteria.

Criteria

1. The label must have a minimum of 50,000 active followers on their social media accounts.
2. The label name is added at release level only, and does not make up more than 3 artists in total at release level.
3. The release will be sent like this to all stores and not specific stores such as Spotify.
