As part of our service, we provide free PRO accounting tools and payments systems for the record labels and artists who work with us. Below is a list of FAQ’s. You should reach out to your label partner if you require any non-technical assistance.

- An artist royalty statement
- An invitation to update your account (ie: Add payment detals to accept payments from a label you have released on)
- A notification that a payment is being made to you from a label you have released on.
How do I know that this is a genuine request for information from a label at Cygnus Music? 1. You’ll see that the email has been sent from [email protected]. 2. You can check with the manager of the label of whom you have released with. 3. You’ll have been sent an artist statement which details your release information.
How long do payments take? Payments to PayPal or UK bank accounts are generally received the same day that they are processed by Cygnus Music. International bank transfers will take longer, and this can be between a few days and a few weeks, depending on the recipient location.
When are artist payments processed? Artist payments are processed by Cygnus Music once per week on a Wednesday around 5pm UK time. Any payment request made after 1pm on Wednesday will likely be processed the following week.
I am not receiving my verification code when trying to log in to the payment portal? Please reach out to the label who has set you up and check which email they have used. You will only be able to use the email address that was set up by the label.
Can I change how often I receive my statements and/or payments? The label chooses the frequency of reporting and payments. To discuss this please contact the label directly.
Can Cygnus Music pay directly to a credit or debit card? No
I already have a Cygnus Music artist/label account, can I have my payments going to the same account?
Yes, please ensure that the email address that the label has for your artist account is the same as your existing account on Cygnus Music. The accounts will be matched up and linked automatically.
I want to use Cygnus Musics accounting system. You can apply to move a label account via www.cygnusmusic.net.
Is it safe to enter my bank account details on your site? Cygnus Music uses a trusted third-party payments provider with end-to-end 256-bit bank-level security. All passwords are one-way hashed using Bcrypt with a factor of 10, as well as built-in tokenization of all sensitive information such as bank account and debit card numbers, government IDs and social security numbers.
Where can I log in to change my account details? You can login using the email that was registered by the label at https://cygnusmusic.portal.paymentrails.com/
I have been told that the amount I am owed is less than the minimum payment threshold. Can you send me my money anyway? The label sets the payment threshold and we do not override this. To discuss this and anything relating to payments please contact the label directly.
Can I change the frequency of how often I recieve my statements and/or payments? The label chooses the frequency of reporting and payments. To discuss this please contact the label directly.
I have tried to update my bank account information, however the territory I live in is not supported. Please contact [email protected] and ensure you CC in the label you have released on. Please use the reference #BTC and paymets in Bitcoin can be requested. Please note that BTC is territory specific and based upon application criteria.
I already have a Cygnus Music label account, can I have my payments to go to a different bank account? Yes, please contact the label and provide them with a unique email address that has not been used with Cygnus Music previously. Ask the label to attach the email to your artist profile.
Is it possible to add intermediary or correspondent bank details when I enter my bank details? No, these are all set by our payment provider and cannot be amended.
I haven’t received the verification code in order to update my account. 1. Please check your junk/spam folder. 2. Try resending the code. 3. Contact [email protected] and ensure you CC in the label you have released on.
